Practice Telephone System

When you ring the surgery on 01277 218393 during surgery opening hours, you will hear a recorded message giving you various options. If you know which option you require, you do not have to wait for the end of the recorded message to press the required number. If you do not have a touchtone phone, please hold and a receptionist will answer as soon as possible.

The options are as follows:

Option 1 – for general enquiries, to speak to a doctor or in an emergency press 1.

Option 2 – to make an appointment – press 2 – you will then be asked to press 1 for appointments today or to press 2 for future appointments.

Option 3 – for enquiries about a test result, hospital referral or medical or insurance report, press 3 – you will then be asked to select one of three options: test results (and these can only be given out after 10.00am) – press 1; for hospital referrals or to speak to the secretary, press 2; or for medical or insurance report enquiries, press 3.

Option 4 – for the treatment room, press 4.

To hear the options again, press 5 or hold for the operator.
