RECEPTION TEAM
We have 10 receptionists who are all
trained to help you. They are your
link with the rest of the practice.
They may need to ask you questions
so that they can help you in the
most appropriate way. The more
information you are able to give
them the better they will be able to
assist you. They are able to answer
many of your questions on how to see
or speak to your doctor, queries on
repeat prescriptions, and have
access to information so that they
can help you. However, please
remember that they cannot answer any
questions about your medical care,
nor can they deal with everything at
once. It can be very busy at times,
so please be patient. Anything you
tell them will be treated in
absolute confidence. The rules of
confidentiality apply equally to all
practice staff.
ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM
There are 11 administrative and
secretarial staff who work mainly
behind the scenes to ensure the
smooth running of the practice. They
answer the telephone, deal with the
post, send referral letters to
hospitals, organise and carry out
all the clerical work of the
practice, do the computer work to
keep patients' records up to date
and print out the repeat
prescriptions ready for signing by
the doctor.
